CommunityCould my corporation submit a request on behalf of a non-profit organization?
All charitable contributions will be granted only to organizations with 501 (c) (3) status - no third-party requests.
Could the Houston Texans provide monetary support for my non-profit?
We are not currently distributing any cash sponsorships for groups or individuals. Our guidelines do allow us to support fundraisers in the community for 501(c) (3) organizations with donations of merchandise.
Can the Texans Provide Tickets to the games for our auction?
Texans’ game tickets are not available for donations due to limited availability and other restrictions.
Does the Texans Foundation donate to out of state organizations?
Due to the large volume of requests we receive, the Texans have established a statewide-only policy for donations of Team memorabilia with priority to Houston, Central and South Texas. Out-of-state requests will not be accepted.
How often can my organization request donations?
We ask that each organization submit only one request per year in order to accommodate as many groups as possible.
Are the Texans able to send letters of greeting or congratulatory certificates for Scouts during their Court of Honor ceremonies?
Yes, the Texans are delighted to send congratulatory letters and special recognition to commemorate accomplishments.
Can I purchase items and send them to the Foundation to be autographed?
The Houston Texans do not accept items from outside organizations, charitable or otherwise, to be autographed for fundraising events. All items that are sent to us will be immediately returned to the sender. We are not responsible for such items sent to us that are lost or damaged.
What is the donation process?
Written requests must be submitted on the organization's official letterhead. Due to the tremendous volume of requests, event coordinators must allow 6 (six) weeks processing time. Any request after the six-week deadline will not be fulfilled.
Each written request must include the following information:
Formal request letter on the non-profit organization’s official, original letterhead
Organization’s mission statement and/or a one-page brochure
Organization’s website (if applicable)
Organization’s 9-digit federal tax-exempt ID number
Event date and location
Type of fundraising event/program
Expected number of attendees
Event solicitor’s full contact information: name, affiliation, address, phone number, email
Letters must accompany a COMPLETED Donation Request Form
Requests must include a return shipping label, FedEx Third party billing information or solicitor must arrange for pick up on Wednesday between 1:30-5:00PM.
Can we phone in the request or send faxes or emails?
No telephone, fax or email requests will not be accepted. Each written request must include the following information:
Should we center our event on the anticipation of a donation or expectation of an autographed item form the Houston Texans for our auction?
It is highly recommended that your event not be centered on the anticipation of a donation from the Houston Texans, but a donation should be considered as a complimentary element to your event. Many requests may not be able to be fulfilled due to the overwhelming volume of requests we receive weekly. No items will be sent to a P.O. Box address.

Hi, I was just wondering if your organization sent out fan packs to their loyal fans?
We are more than happy to mail fan packs to our loyal fans, but there may be a nominal charge. Please email fanfeedback@houstontexans.com to request one.
Is there a small grant form online to fill out?
During November of each season, the Houston Texans Foundation facilitate the NFL Student All Star Mini Grant Program, which awards small level grants to young people, 13 years and younger, to help finance community improvement and volunteer projects. Applicant(s) must be responsible for the creation and execution of a new project-based service or program. Projects require a sponsoring organization in the form of a school, religious or community organization, or other 501(c)(3) groups. The Houston Texans Foundation will award those promoting community improvement and volunteerism in projects such as food/clothing collection drives, community clean-ups, beautifications of youth or senior centers, etc. 25 winners will be receive grants of $200 each to help finance their individual project. The mini grant will be made payable to their respective nonprofit sponsor.
