    The Touchdown Tour is the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee’s traveling celebration of
    football. It will travel all over Houston throughout the fall, raising awareness and excitement in
    the community for Super Bowl LI, which will be played at NRG Stadium on Feb. 5, 2017.
    The Touchdown Tour will have a wide variety of games, many exhibits, appearances, food and fun for
    people of all ages. The Tour will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at this stop on its tour around the
    city. Every stop on the Touchdown Tour is free to the public and everyone is encouraged to
    celebrate the city, football and Super Bowl LI with the Host Committee.

    Houston Texans Cheerleaders will be in attendance at this tour from 12pm - 1pm, as well as the Go Texan Express merchandise truck.  Stop by for Texans games and a chance to win great Texans prizes!

A Reed lo extrañan en Baltimore pero los Texans lo tienen

Ya se abrió la temporada regular de la NFL con una contundente victoria de los Broncos de Denver sobre los campeones Ravens de Baltimore el jueves por la noche y una cosa que inmediatamente me llamó la atención fue la pésima actuación de la defensa de los Ravens.

Ya se abrió la temporada regular de la NFL con una contundente victoria de los Broncos de Denver sobre los campeones Ravens de Baltimore el jueves por la noche y una cosa que inmediatamente me llamó la atención fue la pésima actuación de la defensa de los Ravens.

La razón por la que tomé nota de la manera en que el quarterback de los Broncos, Peyton Manning, hizo pedazos a la defensa de Baltimore fue por la ausencia del defensivo Ed Reed, que ahora es jugador de los Houston Texans.

Al ver cómo esa defensa batalló para contener a Manning sin Reed me queda claro que los Texans han traído a un jugador que va a impactar positivamente a la defensa del coordinador Wade Phillips en cuanto pise el terreno de juego.

Reed es un veterano con una presencia notable y en el partido que los Ravens perdieron ante los Broncos se notó que su ausencia pesa mucho. Pero ni modo, Reed ahora es harina de otro costal y solamente queda esperar ver cómo va a ayudar a la defensa de los Toros.

No se ha definido si Reed jugará contra los Chargers de San Diego el lunes 9 de septiembre, pero si el exjugador de los Ravens regresa bien de su lesión y brinda la calidad de actuaciones que acostumbraba en Baltimore, la defensa de los Texans se podría convertir en una de las más sólidas de la NFL considerando que lo estarán apoyando J.J. Watt, el mejor jugador defensivo de la temporada pasada, y el dinámico Brian Cushing.

El que sí está listo para regresar al terreno de juego es el corredor estelar Arian Foster, que tuvo una destacada semana en los entrenamientos y que dará a los Toros una dimensión a la ofensiva que no pudimos apreciar en la pretemporada.

Houston visita a San Diego con buenas posibilidades de quedarse con una victoria en talla de visitante. Pero para lograrlo los houstonianos tienen que salir agresivos desde el arranque del partido y ser contundentes en sus posiciones ofensivas.
