    The 2015 Houston Texans Draft Party presented by Coors Light isThursday, April 30 at NRG Stadium.  The Draft Party begins at 5 p.m. CDT and the 2015 NFL Draft begins at 7 p.m. CDT.

    NFL Network’s draft coverage will be shown on the HD televisions throughout the 100 Level Concourse and Texans Radio on SportsRadio 610 will broadcast live, with commentary and analysis from “The Voice of the Texans,” Marc Vandermeer, and a number of special guests. When the Texans make their first-round pick, fans at the Draft Party will hear from the player first as part of Texans Radio’s live broadcast.

    Texans Ambassadors will be on hand to sign autographs throughout the evening. Texans fans can also get their first glimpse of the 2015 Houston Texans Cheerleaders when the squad makes its debut performance at the event. 

    Young fans can play in the TORO’s Kids Club Zone presented by Kroger, which will feature interactive games, a balloon artist and appearances by TORO and Deep Steel Thunder. Fans can also take photos in Memory Alley located on the concourse.

Siempre es mucho más complicado descansar cuando hay tanto trabajo por hacer.
Los Houston Texans llegaron a su jornada de descanso con la posibilidad de calificar a Playoffs en peligro luego de haber ligado cinco derrotas consecutivas y con varias lesiones que han comprometido el panorama. Pero ningún jugador en el camerino ha dado señas de que esté listo a darse por vencido.

El entrenador en jefe Gary Kubiak tampoco está listo para aceptar que este equipo no va a llegar a los Playoffs. Pero el reto que tienen los Toros es enorme no solamente porque cayeron al tercer lugar de la División Sur sino porque han sufrido lesiones devastadoras, entre ellas la del defensivo Brian Cushing.

La fuerza de la defensa siempre ha sido J.J. Watt pero el alma y líder del grupo defensivo es Cushing y el hecho de que no contarán con él por el resto de la temporada obliga a todos a tener que elevar su nivel para lograr que no se desbarate el punto fuerte de este equipo.

En ofensiva los corredores Arian Foster y Ben Tate se encuentran recuperándose de nivel y la afición necesita cruzar los dedos para que logren estar listos para el 3 de noviembre, cuando los houstonianos reciban a los Colts de Indianapolis. Sin ellos la ofensiva va a estar demasiada limitada.

El impulso que le dio a la ofensiva el novato quarterback Case Keenum es bienvenido, pero se necesitará mucho más que una chispa para vencer a los Colts y poder terminar la temporada decorosamente.

A estas alturas los jugadores y cuerpo técnico de los Texans dan la sensación de que no se han rendido ante el impacto que les ha causado la enorme cantidad de adversidades que han tenido que enfrentar en las primeras siete fechas de la campaña. Pero es necesario que cuando regresen a la actividad comprendan que están con sus espaldas contra la pared y que la única manera de salir del bache es luchando y ganando partidos.

Con la temporada en juego también es necesario aceptar que los partidos no solamente son los esquemas defensivos y ofensivos que se arman en el pizarrón. Cada jugador tiene que dar algo extra. Los Toros ya no pueden titubear, es tiempo de mirarse en el espejo y preguntarse ¿qué voy a hacer mejor como jugador para ayudar a que mi equipo se despierte de esta  pesadilla? Los Texans tienen con qué salir adelante, y es hora de demostrarlo en el terreno de juego.
