Ravens, complicado rival al que Texans pueden vencer

Es cierto que los Ravens de Baltimore no tienen la misma cantidad de jugadores talentosos con los que contaban la temporada pasada.

Es cierto que los Ravens de Baltimore no tienen la misma cantidad de jugadores talentosos con los que contaban la temporada pasada. Y si le sumamos las lesiones que se presentaron en el plantel del actual campeón, es un equipo algo decimado, pero de cualquier forma para los Houston Texans los Ravens significan el adversario más complicado que han enfrentado hasta el momento en esta joven temporada de la NFL.

Los houstonianos buscarán su tercera victoria, en talla de visitante, en lo que será el principio de la parte del calendario donde se comienza a enfrentar a equipos de mayor calibre. Después de los Ravens los Texans reciben en el Reliant Stadium a los Seahawks de Seattle y una semana después visitan a los 49ers de San Francisco.

Afortunadamente para este duelo ante los Cuervos el entrenador en jefe Gary Kubiak ha recuperado al receptor Andre Johnson después de que fue activado tras la contusión que sufrió la semana pasada, en una de las jugadas clave que contribuyó al regreso y eventual triunfo de los Toros ante los Titans.

Otra buena noticia es que ya también se le dio la luz verde al defensivo Ed Reed y su esperado debut podría darse este domingo 22 de septiembre ante su exequipo, Baltimore. Si llega a pisar la cancha lo hará como titular. Va ser muy interesante ver cómo se para la defensa de Wade Phillips con J.J. Watt, Brian Cushing y Reed. En papel parece una de terror para los equipos rivales.

Houston tiene que evitar irse abajo en el marcador, como lo ha hecho en los últimos dos partidos. Los Ravens difícilmente los dejarán levantarse de la lona, ya que es un equipo más experimentado.

El quarterback de los Texans, Matt Schaub, debe buscar salir más tranquilo y ser más efectivo, especialmente temprano en el partido, y quizás sería mejor si la ofensiva se dedica a correr el ovoide para ir calentando.

Será interesante ver si el novato receptor DeAndre Hopkins, que fue el héroe de la semana pasada, podrá continuar con su buen momento y si lo logra entonces los Texans tienen una gran posibilidad de ligar su tercer triunfo al hilo.
