Schaub se juega el partido de su vida

El partido que los Houston Texans jugarán este domingo en contra de los 49ers de San Francisco ante los ojos de todo el país es para el quarterback de los Toros, Matt Schaub, el partido más importante de su carrera.

El partido que los Houston Texans jugarán este domingo en contra de los 49ers de San Francisco ante los ojos de todo el país es para el quarterback de los Toros, Matt Schaub, el partido más importante de su carrera.

El escenario que le espera a Schaub es complicado, no solamente porque enfrenta a un rival duro sino porque llega con una enorme presión sobre sus hombros.

Las recientes actuaciones de Schaub han dejado mucho que desear, sus decisiones han sido  costosas y los altibajos que ha sufrido en lo que va de la temporada han comprometido al equipo.

Si digo que el partido del domingo contra San Francisco es el más importante en la carrera de Schaub lo digo porque se está jugando su puesto. Es cierto que Schaub tiene el respaldo del cuerpo técnico y de sus compañeros para ser el quarterback titular, pero tampoco se pueden seguir soportando los errores que ha cometido hasta el momento porque, si persisten, los Toros se pueden meter en una bache del será difícil salir.

Si existe un momento para que Schaub se ponga la capa de Superman, ese momento es ahora. No cabe duda de que Matt es talentoso y que tiene la capacidad para sacar al equipo adelante, pero falta que lo demuestre y no hay mejor manera de hacerlo que guiando a los Toros a un triunfo contra los 49ers en talla de visitante.

A pesar de las críticas, los compañeros de Schaub y el entrenador en jefe Gary Kubiak han respaldado a su quarterback mostrando que el equipo está unido.

Durante esta complicada etapa Schaub no ha perdido la cabeza ni ha permitido que la presión lo derrumbe. A lo largo de la semana se comprometió a mejorar y comprendió la molestia de algunos aficionados al grado de que dijo que buscará cambiar la opinión de sus críticos con trabajo y dedicación.

Es importante que Schaub no se presione demasiado ante los 49ers y aunque si bien es un partido clave para poder recuperar la confianza no es necesario que trate de hacer demasiado porque se puede volver a equivocar.

Schaub simplemente debe ser el mejor quarterback que puede ser y no cometer errores que perjudiquen al equipo. Matt se juega el partido de su vida y esperemos que esté a altura del reto.
