Texans esperan a los Titans con euforia

Las ansias ya no se pueden contener, la emoción está a punto de explotar en el pecho y los gritos de Go Texans!

Las ansias ya no se pueden contener, la emoción está a punto de explotar en el pecho y los gritos de Go Texans! ya están listos para escaparse de miles de gargantas. Es el primer partido de la temporada regular 2013 de la NFL que se juega en el Reliant Stadium y el ambiente será electrizante.

El rival en turno es un viejo conocido. Es más, alguna vez la franquicia de los Titans de Tennesse tuvo lazos con esta ciudad. Los Titans antes eran los Oilers de Houston pero hoy son uno de los más odiados rivales no solamente de los jugadores de los Texans sino de la afición houstoniana.

Tomando en cuenta esta gran rivalidad es obvio que se espera un gran partido. Ambos equipos llegan a este duelo luego de haber ganado su primer juego de la campaña, los Titans a Pittsburgh y los Texans a San Diego, pero los houstonianos se mostraron mejor por la manera en que sacaron el partido y el rival que vencieron.

Los Texans vinieron de atrás después de ir perdiendo 28-7 ante San Diego para ganar 31-28 con un ataque ofensivo incontenible en el último periodo y una defensa que apagó por completo a la ofensiva de los Chargers. Mientras, los Titans vencieron a una ‘sombra’ de los Steelers.

Los Texans llegan como amplios favoritos ante los Titans este domingo 15 de septiembre (12 pm) y tienen que imponer su autoridad desde la primera jugada, no pueden tener otro lento comienzo como lo hicieron ante San Diego.

Entre semana el entrenador en jefe Gary Kubiak trabajó en esos detalles negativos que se asomaron en el primer duelo y atendió la polémica que surgió luego de que el corredor titular Arian Foster se mostró molesto por no haber sido involucrado en más jugadas.

El corredor suplente Ben Tate ha hecho las cosas bien y Kubiak ha dicho que seguirá utilizándolo cuando lo considere necesario. Foster aparentemente ha entendido que si quiere estar más minutos en la cancha se los tiene que ganar.

La directiva de los Texans ha pedido que los aficionados se vistan de blanco, el blanco de la victoria de la que todos en Houston esperan sea el segundo triunfo de la temporada de la NFL para los Toros.
