Tailgating Guidelines and Rules

  • If you have a 10x10 canopy, you must have two parking passes
  • Please adhere to all parking instructions given by Reliant Park personnel
  • Your parking permit does not grant any rights to display advertising, banners or signs
  • You may not tailgate beyond the blue lines marking the drive lanes
  • To ensure safety of our fans, no golf carts, skateboards, bicycles, electric transportation devices, Segways or scooters will be allowed in the parking lots
  • For the first hour, parking is first-come, first-serve. Saving spots is not allowed. After the first hour, you must follow the parking instructions of Reliant Park staff
  • For safety purposes, all tents, charis, etc. must be put away prior to entering Reliant Stadium
  • Disposable LP-gas cylinders must not be dispose of in Orange ash dumpsters
  • We reserve the right to relocate any commercially branded vehicles
  • Tailgating will be allowed throughout Reliant Park, excluding the lots adjacent to Reliant Stadium that are marked white on the map below
  • Parking lots will open 4 hours prior to kickoff
  • Tailgating will be limited to your parking spot and space directly behind your vehicle into the drive lane, but you cannot block traffic flow in the driving lane
  • Fans can purchase one additional parking hangtag for additional tailgating area
  • RV's will need to purchase two parking spots and must be parked in designated RV areas in each lot
  • Barbeques-in-tow must purchase two parking spots
  • Open flames are allowed but guests must extinguish their flames prior to entering Reliant Stadium
  • Large ballons will no longer be permitted as decoration and all tents must be taken down before fans leave their tailgate area to enter the stadium
  • Please use the provided charcoal waste receptacles to dispose of your charcoal
  • Reliant Park will conform to all Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission laws, including the section that prohibits the public consumption of alcoholic beverages outside of licensed areas on Sundays prior to 10 a.m. at sports venues. Violation of state law could result in arrest or citation.

The Houston Fire Department would also like to add these reminders:

  • Fire Extinguisher: Minimum rating of 2-A:10-B:C; must have full charge and be accessible at all times
  • Charcoal: Must be Match Light or Quick Light; use of starter fluid is prohibited; provide a metal pan under BBQ pit to prevent ashes from falling onto the ground; deposit used coals in the bins provided; do not throw trash in these containers
  • Propane: Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks; drippings from gas grills must not fall onto the ground
  • Trash: Keep your area clear of trash; avoid allowing trash to accumulate around BBQ pits; deposit trash into dumpsters, not ash bins
  • Pit Safety: Keep combustible materials at least three feet away from pits; placement of pits should be such that passers-by cannot come into contact with the pit; watch for children playing in the area; do not leave burning pits unattended; do not place hot pits or coals in or under your vehicle; allow time for pits to cool
  • Generators: Use of generators is allowed, however fuel must be stored in approved metal safety cans with spring loaded lid and flashback guard
