The day after the Texans’ 17-16 loss to Kansas City, head coach Gary Kubiak discussed the injuries suffered in Sunday’s game.

Houston's bye week comes at a time when multiple players could use the extra recovery time. The day after the Texans’ 17-16 loss to Kansas City, head coach Gary Kubiak discussed the injuries suffered in Sunday’s game. In addition to inside linebacker Brian Cushing, who is expected to undergo surgery in the next two days, several other players were banged up in the loss.

Duane Brown has got a sore ankle. He’s doing pretty good today,” Kubiak said Monday. “Arian (Foster) has got a hamstring issue that will be day-to-day. Ben Tate has got some sore ribs. Other than that, I think those are the three main ones.”

Foster had four carries for 11 yards before leaving during Houston’s first offensive series. Tate replaced Foster in the game but left briefly after receiving a hit to his ribs early in the third quarter. Greg Jones was the lone back until Tate returned later in the third quarter. Tate finished with 50 yards rushing on 15 carries and two catches for five yards.

The Texans' next game will be a their third primetime appearance this season. Houston hosts the Indianapolis Colts after the bye week on Sunday, November 3 with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
