Arian Foster heads to locker room in 1st quarter

Posted Oct 20, 2013

Arian Foster heads to the locker room in the middle of the first quarter of Sunday's game against Kansas City.

Arian Foster headed to the locker room with a hamstring injury. Foster suffered his injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against Kansas City. Foster was on the sideline in sweats and will not return.

“He’s got a hamstring, obviously bad enough where he couldn’t come back and play," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "We do have a bye week."

With Foster's injury and his backup Ben Tate, who left for a few series, no running backs were left on the active roster except for fullback Greg Jones.

"Our running back situation was very detrimental to us, especially when we were on the one-yard line, that situation that we had," Kubiak said after the game. "That would have been huge to get the ball in the end zone right there, but we played through some tremendous things."

Foster had four rushes for 11 yards on the Texans' first possession.
