Arian Foster nominated for FedEx award

RB Arian Foster is nominated for the NFL Ground Player of the Week for his performance in Week 15.



VOTE FOR FOSTER

The NFL announced today that running back Arian Foster is a finalists for the FedEx NFL Ground Player of the Week honors for his performance in the Week 15 matchup played Dec. 16. Foster gained 165 yards on 27 carries as the Texans beat the Indianapolis Colts 29-17. Other nominees include running backs Knowshon Moreno of the Denver Broncos and Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings.

"I really like Arian because he doesn’t just run – he runs with heart," Texans tackle Duane Brown said Sunday. "And that’s the great thing about it, you have to like blocking for a guy like that. He gets to the second level and it’s a joy to watch."

Foster has 325 carries, 1,313 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season.

Fans can vote for one player in each category on NFL.com/FedEx from 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday through 2 p.m. CT on Friday to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week. The winners will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
