BWTB: A "back to school" surprise

Posted Aug 21, 2014

The Houston Texans Foundation provided local children with the perfect “back to school” present on Wednesday afternoon.

The Houston Texans Foundation provided local children with the perfect “back to school” present on Wednesday afternoon.

Five hundred backpacks stuffed with school supplies were delivered by Jetco to deserving children from the Houston Texans YMCA.

Throughout the duration of Training Camp, the Foundation hosted a school supply drive where fans were asked to donate items. Pencil sharpeners, binders, spiral notebooks and more arrived in heaps from generous fans looking to make a difference in Houston.

Simultaneously, a backpack drive was held internally with Houston Texans staff members. By the conclusion of the drive, 500 backpacks were stuffed and donated, an increase from last year’s number.
