Bill O'Brien, Texans not concerned about heat

Posted Jul 27, 2014

Don't ask head coach Bill O'Brien about the heat.

Don't expect Bill O'Brien or the Texans to complain about temperatures in the mid-90's.

"It's Texas," the head coach said Sunday. "It's hot. Whatever."

For the second straight morning, the team practiced outside at the Houston Methodist Training Center under sunny skies and stifling humidity. But when O'Brien was asked about the warm temps, he emphasized that he, the coaches and players were focused on football.

"We don't really worry about things we can't control," O'Brien said. "We can do nothing about the weather. That's not anything we think about."

O'Brien also knows there's not much relief coming anytime soon from Mother Nature.

"We're not expecting an Alaksan cold front to come wiping through here," O'Brien said. "We're out there and we're going and we're practicing"

The Texans have spent their afternoon walk-through practices inside the Houston Methodist Training Center.
