The list is unveiled in increments of 10 every Thursday evening, from 100-91 to 10-1. Brown was the first Texans player named to the list in 2013.
“It’s a huge honor to be recognized by my peers around the league,” Brown said Thursday. “I’ve worked hard to try to be the best at what I can do, so it’s an awesome feeling.”
Brown was named first-team All-Pro and started in the Pro Bowl last season, his fifth in the NFL out of Virginia Tech. The 2008 first-round draft pick was a second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl alternate in 2011.
“It’s been the best season I’ve had to date in my career, but I’m always looking to get better,” Brown said. “I have plenty that I can improve on – continue to perfect my craft, be the best I can be for my line mates, for my team, just take my game to another level and continue to perfect my technique.”
Brown was one of seven Texans offensive players to play in the Pro Bowl after last season.
