TEXANS TEAM NOTES
The Texans rushed for a franchise-record four touchdowns. The previous mark was three touchdowns rushing, done 13 times. The last time the Texans rushed for three touchdowns was in a 34-31 overtime win at Detroit on Nov. 22, 2012.
The Texans were at 100 percent efficiency in the red zone (3-for-3) for the fourth time this season. They also scored a touchdown in every red zone possession against San Diego in Week 1 (3-3), Tennessee in Week 2 (4-4) and Arizona in Week 10 (3-3).
The Texans were only penalized twice for a total of 25 yards. It is the second game in a row that the team has only been penalized twice. Houston’s four penalties in the last two games is the lowest two-game total since the 2008 season, when the team was flagged just two combined times in games against Indianapolis (10/5/08) and Miami (10/12/08).
The Texans tied a season high with 31 points scored. The Texans also scored 31 points in the season-opener at San Diego (won, 31-28).
The Texans had a player rush for 100 yards for an NFL-high 29th time since 2010 (Ben Tate, 102 yards)
The Texans won the toss and elected to receive.
The defense recorded six passes defensed, its highest total since it had six in Week 2 against Tennessee.

Connected on a 43-yard field goal in the first quarter, his 10th consecutive game with a field goal, tying Kris Brown for the second-longest streak in franchise history.
Passed Joel Dreessen (78) to move into 12th place all-time on Houston’s all-time scoring list with 82 points. Bullock entered the game with 75 career points. 
TE GARRETT GRAHAM
Set a career-high with his 10th start of the season.
Had three receptions for 36 yards.
WR DeANDRE HOPKINS
Caught two passes for 77 yards, including a season-long 66-yard pass in the fourth quarter. 
Hopkins’ 66-yard reception in the fourth quarter was the longest by a rookie in franchise history. The previous long by a rookie was a 46-yard touchdown reception by WR Andre Johnson at Buffalo on Nov. 16, 2003 and a 46-yarder by RB Steve Slaton against Jacksonville on Dec. 1, 2008.
He moved into a tie with Jabar Gaffney (2002) for the fourth-most receptions in a season by a Texans rookie with 41.

Extended his streak of consecutive games played to 186, tops among active punters

Had eight receptions for 121 yards, his fifth 100-yard receiving game of the season and the 49th of his career
Passed Jimmy Smith (12,287) to move into 17th place on the NFL’s all-time receiving yards list on his second reception of the game. Johnson entered Sunday with 12,256 yards receiving. He now ranks 15th all-time with 900 receptions and 17th all-time with 12,377 yards receiving.
It took Johnson 13 games to reach 900 receptions since making his 800th career receptions against Minnesota in Week 16 of 2012.

CB JOHNATHAN JOSEPH

Scored his first career touchdown on a 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. It was the first touchdown run by a Texans quarterback since T.J. Yates’ 1-yard plunge at New England on Dec. 10, 2012.
Completed 15-of-30 passes for 272 yards, including a career-long 66-yard completion, also the longest completion by a Texan this season.
Had four completions of 25 yards or longer.
ILB JEFF TARPINIAN
Recorded a half-sack of Tom Brady for a six yard loss in the second quarter, the first recorded sack of his career
RB BEN TATE
Tied Arian Foster and Ryan Moats with a franchise-record three rushing touchdowns in a game, most recently done by Foster on Sept. 12, 2010 vs. Indianapolis.
Led the Texans in rushing with 102 yards on 22 attempts, his fifth career 100-yard rushing game and first since Nov. 6, 2011 against Cleveland.
Passed Steve Slaton (1,832) to move into third place on the franchise’s career rushing list on his 13th carry of the game. Tate entered the game with 1,765 career rushing yards. He now has 1,867 career rushing yards.
