J.J. Watt full go in minicamp

Posted Jun 17, 2014

J.J. Watt was a full go for the Texans first day of mandatory minicamp after missing practice on Friday.

J.J. Watt was a full go for the Texans first day of mandatory minicamp after missing practice on Friday. Watt suffered a slight hyperextension of the knee on the field Thursday and watched the final day of OTAs from the sideline.

Head coach Bill O’Brien kept Watt out of Friday’s practice as a precautionary measure. After seeing him return for the first day of the Texans mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, O’Brien said the All-Pro defensive end “looked like he was moving around pretty good.”

With a short break between OTAs and minicamp, Watt took advantage of the extra time to heal and get himself ready for the last days of practice before training camp kicked off in July.

“Obviously, I take care of my body very well so I focused on it, made sure it was ready to go, and (had) no issues at all today,” Watt said after Tuesday’s practice.

The Texans three-day minicamp wraps up on Thursday.
