Jadeveon Clowney on Swearinger

Posted Feb 22, 2014

Jadeveon Clowney answered several questions about former teammate D.J. Swearinger

Jadeveon Clowney could be reunuited with D.J. Swearinger if the Texans select him with the first-overall pick in the NFL Draft. Clowney has kept in touch with former South Carolina teammate “once or twice” but says conversations were casual.

“I didn’t really ask him anything about the Texans,” Clowney said Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. “It’s going to happen or it’s not. They are going to take who they need and who they want. I am going to perform well here at the combine and hope they choose me.”

If the Texans draft Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 1 overall pick, he’ll be playing for another South Carolina graduate, Texans founder, chairman, and CEO Bob McNair.
