Texans cornerback
Johnathan Joseph
did not practice on Wednesday because of a sore groin. Wide receiver
Andre Johnson
and running back
Arian Foster
were limited.
All three Pro Bowlers are expected to play without any issues in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans. Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Joseph should be back to practice on Thursday and that Johnson and Foster were just being rested.
“It’s that time we’ve got going here, a lot of guys have played a lot of snaps,” Kubiak said. “I would expect them to be full-go tomorrow.”
Free safety
Quintin Demps
did not practice Wednesday after having surgery on his thumb earlier this week. Demps has a cast on his hand and played with one on Sunday after getting injured against the Broncos. His injury is not expected to keep him out on Sunday.
Kubiak is hopeful that second-year wide receiver
Lestar Jean
will be able to play in a couple of weeks. Jean had arthroscopic surgery to repair a meniscus issue on Tuesday. Kubiak said fullback
James Casey
had the same procedure a few seasons ago and missed only two games.
Kubiak said he did not know of any cosmetic surgery for quarterback
Matt Schaub
, who lost a small piece of his left earlobe on Sunday courtesy of an illegal hit by Broncos linebacker Joe Mays.
“He'll be alright,” Kubiak said, smiling. “We'll give him a big hat."
