Kareem Jackson returns to practice

Posted Nov 27, 2013

Kareem Jackson returned to practice on Wednesday on a limited basis.

Kareem Jackson practiced on Wednesday for the first time in two weeks. Jackson was sidelined for two-consecutive games since suffering a rib injury against Arizona on November 10.

"Kareem practiced on a limited basis so we took a step forward today," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "We'll see where we are at tomorrow."

Jackson left in the second quarter against the Cardinals after breaking his first rib and did not return. Because of the location of his injury, behind his collarbone, the injury has been hard to treat. On Friday Jackson said he was still having some soreness with everyday movements but with time, he was getting closer to returning.

"He looked pretty good in what he did," Kubiak said after practice. "Pretty cold day out there, hard to get going. I only had him take a few reps but we challenged him with the ball a little bit so it was a step in the right direction. We're going to have to work him through the week, bring him along a little bit more each day but we definitely need him."

The Texans will next play the New England Patriots at Reliant Stadium on Sunday, December 1.
