Miller, inactive for the final two games of the regular season with an ankle injury, returned to practice this week. The Texans starting running back admits it was hard to sit out, but knew the bigger picture was to be prepared and ready for the postseason.
“I think it helped me out a lot,” Miller said. “I feel fresh right now. I’ve been getting a lot of treatment, you know doing some conditioning and just trying to stay in shape, so I feel good.”
In the Texans Week 11 matchup against the Raiders, Miller rushed for 104 yards on 24 carries and scored on a one-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
The Texans AFC Wild Card game against the Oakland Raiders will be Miller’s first career postseason appearance. Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday at 3:35 p.m. CT on ESPN/ABC and SportsRadio 610.
