During a Monday press conference, Kubiak said he would go through an "evaluation stage" about the team, including the quarterback position. After giving the players Monday and Tuesday off, Kubiak decided to with Schaub as the starter, after inserting backup
Schaub threw a trio of interceptions Sunday night in the loss at San Francisco, and his first pass was an interception returned for a touchdown. Schaub's had an interception returned for a score in four consecutive games.
Offensive coordinator Rick Dennison said he's "100 percent behind" the decision to start Scahub.
