The first pick of the Draft for the Texans this spring is in the third round at 68th overall.

For the last week or so, we've gone pick-by-pick and examined some notable names that have been taken in those spots through NFL history.

Now we look at Houston's first selection, and search for names that have made impacts in the League.

Linebacker Lance Briggs was a Chicago Bear for all 12 of his NFL seasons, and the 2003 68th overal pick went to seven Pro Bowls, picked off 16 passes in his career, and helped lead Chicago to a Super Bowl following the 2006 season.

Wide receiver Jake Reed was Minnesota's third-rounder in 1991, and he went on to average 15.6 yards per catch over the course of his next 12 years in the NFL. He ultimately finished with 6,999 receiving yards.

Tom Tupa played a little bit of quarterback and a lot of punter in 16 NFL seasons, and he was a 68th overall pick by the Cardinals in 1988. He wound up with a Super Bowl ring and a Pro Bowl appearance when his time in the NFL ended.

Here's a list of several other players who wound up contributing significantly as 68th overall picks.
