Schaub to start at QB vs. Titans

Posted Dec 29, 2013

Quarterback Case Keenum is inactive and Matt Schaub will start for the Texans in the season finale at Tennessee.

Case Keenum is inactive and Matt Schaub will start at quarterback for the Texans in the season finale today at Tennessee. Case Keenum took practice reps on Thursday like he normally did as the starter, but soreness from a right thumb sprain limited him in Friday's practice and prevented him from starting versus the Titans.

In his career at LP Field, Schaub has played six games and completed 61.7% of his passes. He's tossed 10 touchdowns and four interceptions, and has thrown for two or more scores in every contest there since 2009. His quarterback rating at Tennessee is 92.5. He and the Texans have been victorious in Tennessee in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012.
