Texans Re-Sign Elbert Mack

The Houston Texans have re-signed unrestricted free agent CB Elbert Mack, it was announced today.

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans have re-signed unrestricted free agent CB Elbert Mack, it was announced today. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Mack has played in 73 games with six starts in his six-year NFL career, compiling 80 tackles (68 solo), 17 passes defensed, and six interceptions, with two being returned for touchdowns. Signed as college free agent by Tampa Bay in 2008, he spent four seasons with the Buccaneers before being signed as an unrestricted free agent by New Orleans in 2012 and Houston in 2013.

The Wichita, Kan., native saw action in eight games with the Texans in 2013, recording eight special teams tackles, tied for the second-most on the team.
