New to the Texans but not to Houston, the latest addition to the Texans linebacker corps began practice Monday morning. The Houston Texans signed inside linebacker
Coffey (6-0, 235), a Sugar Land native, graduated from Clements High School. He was a starting linebacker for Baylor for 22 games, playing 47 total. As a senior in 2011, Coffey led the team with 114 total tackles (55 solo), ranking fourth in the Big 12 with 8.8 tackles per game. Coffey's father, Ken, played safety for the Washington Redskins.
