It was an early Father’s Day celebration as the Houston Texans hosted the annual First Down Dads Field Day presented by Aramark on Saturday at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

Over 350 fathers and their children had a blast running football drills and interacting with Texans Shiloh Keo, Cody White, along with Texans ambassadors Mike Quinn, ND Kalu, Bubba McDowell and Matt Murphy. Head coach Bill O’Brien and strength and conditioning coach Craig Fitzgerald also joined in on the festivities with their sons and mingled with fans of all ages.

According to Keo, strengthening the bond between father and son is the main objective of First Down Dads.

“I’m a dad so I understand the importance of taking time away from my busy schedule and giving it back to my son,” he said. “It’s important for kids to know that parents, us as role models, we love our kids even though we get busy and tied up with jobs, business, jobs, meetings, social media—whatever is going on in our lives. We love our kids and we want to make time for them, and that’s what this event is all about”
