The city of Houston is ready for some football.
That was the consensus Tuesday afternoon as the Houston Texans hosted the 11th annual Texans Team Luncheon presented by Amegy Bank of Texas. The Hilton Americas played host to the event, comfortably fitting Texans players, coaches, staff member and 680 guests in the decked-out ballroom. Kicking off the 2014 regular season in grand fashion, the Team Luncheon benefitted the Houston Texans Foundation and is the only event that brings all Texans players and coaches together to interact with fans.
Each player was assigned to a table and enjoyed lunch with fans and team sponsors. Texans founder and CEO Bob McNair and head coach Bill O’Brien addressed the sold out crowd, thanking the attendees for their continued support of the Texans and previewing the exciting season to come.

The Texans open the regular season at home for the Liberty White Out game against the Washington Redskins on Sept. 7.
