HOUSTON – The Houston Texans and affiliated McNair Group have been selected as one of the Houston Chronicle Top Workplaces for the second year in a row. The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The publication has honored the best workplaces since 2006.
The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional Top Workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the United States.
Over the past year, more than 5,000 organizations and 1 in every 88 employees in the U.S. have turned to WorkplaceDynamics to better understand what’s on the minds of their employees. Through its workplace improvement offerings, WorkplaceDynamics provides solutions, training and tools to help clients improve their workplace.
The Texans and The McNair Group strive to hire employees and players that are a good fit in representing the organization, the Houston community and the National Football League by focusing their recruiting efforts on individuals with high character, a strong work ethic and a fierce competitive spirit.
“We must attract and retain talented, passionate and hard working professionals in order to realize our full potential as a franchise,” said Jamey Rootes, President of the Houston Texans. “We have created a comprehensive process to help us understand the needs of our staff and meet or exceed their expectations.”
The Texans, whose stated mission is “to create and maintain the most respected and most valuable professional sports franchise in the world,” have three primary objectives: win championships, create memorable experiences for their fans and partners and do great things in the Houston community.
The Houston Texans are the two-time AFC South division champions; and in 2014, the Texans were named the 12th most valuable sports franchise in the world and the 5th most valuable NFL franchise by Forbes magazine with an estimated value of $1.45 billion.
Last season, the Houston Texans Foundation raised nearly $1 million through community events and has raised more than $11 million for the Gulf Coast Region since the team kicked off in 2002.
