    The Touchdown Tour is the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee’s traveling celebration of
    football. It will travel all over Houston throughout the fall, raising awareness and excitement in
    the community for Super Bowl LI, which will be played at NRG Stadium on Feb. 5, 2017.
    The Touchdown Tour will have a wide variety of games, many exhibits, appearances, food and fun for
    people of all ages. The Tour will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at this stop on its tour around the
    city. Every stop on the Touchdown Tour is free to the public and everyone is encouraged to
    celebrate the city, football and Super Bowl LI with the Host Committee.

    Houston Texans Cheerleaders will be in attendance at this tour from 12pm - 1pm, as well as the Go Texan Express merchandise truck.  Stop by for Texans games and a chance to win great Texans prizes!

Yates voted Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week

Quarterback T.J. Yates led the Texans to victory in Week 14 at Cincinnati, and won the NFL Rookie of the Week award for it.


Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Quarterback T.J. Yates of the Houston Texans is the NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on Dec. 8-12, the NFL announced today.

Yates completed 26-of-44 passes for 300 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Texans’ 20-19 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Yates also added five carries for 36 rushing yards, and threw for the game-winning touchdown with only two seconds remaining in the game. The win helped Houston secure its first playoff berth in franchise history.

Yates was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com/rookies. The other finalists were wide receiver Doug Baldwin of the Seattle Seahawks, wide receiver Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons, quarterback Jake Locker of the Tennessee Titans and wide receiver Titus Young of the Detroit Lions

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.
