Brian Bell enters his third season as assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Houston Texans.

In his first two years with the team, the Texans won back-to-back AFC South division championships and advanced to the AFC Divisional Round for the first time since 2012.

Bell worked on Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Craig Fitzgerald’s staff at Penn State from 2012-13. Prior to accepting his position with the Texans, Bell was co-owner of the Athletic Factory, a sports performance center in Bowie, Md. From 2011-12, Bell served as the head football strength and conditioning coach at his high school alma mater, DeMatha Catholic, in Hyattsville, Md.

Bell was a tight end and fullback at Kent State from 2002-06. In 2007, Bell signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent and played on the team’s practice squad.

Bell and his wife, Crystal, have one daughter, Logan and one son, Brian Jr.
