CAREER: Athletic young lineman who stepped into the starting lineup at right tackle as a rookie and has started the past 39 games as Houston's right tackle…started the final seven games of the 2006 season at right tackle…has the speed and athleticism to play tackle as well as the power to play guard if needed…converted from tight end to tackle in college.

2008 (Houston 16/16): Started in all 16 games at right tackle…part of an offensive line that saw all five members start every game together for the first time in team history…helped the offense average 382.1 yards per game, which ranked third in the NFL…paved the way for rookie RB Steve Slaton to rush for a Texans single-season record 1,282 yards…teamed with RG Mike Brisiel to help the rushing attack average 5.1 yards per carry to the right side of the line, good for third-best in the league…started his second consecutive season opener at RT at Pittsburgh (9/7)…helped Slaton rush for his first 100-yard game at Tennessee (9/21)… helped the offense gain more than 400 yards in back-to-back games vs. Miami (10/12) and vs. Detroit (10/19)…helped the team score a season-high 35 points vs. Cincinnati (10/26)…was part of an offensive line that helped Slaton set a Texans rookie record with 156 rushing yards at Indianapolis (11/16)…started on Monday Night Football and helped Slaton rush for 130 yards and two touchdowns vs. Jacksonville (12/1)…helped the offense gain a franchise-record 549 yards at Green Bay (12/7)…was part of a line that helped Slaton run for his third consecutive 100-yard game and WR Andre Johnson record the first 200-yard receiving game in team history vs. Tennessee (12/14)…helped allow QB Matt Schaub to throw for 328 yards and two touchdowns in season finale vs. Chicago (12/28).

2007 (Houston 16/16): One of three Texans offensive linemen to start all 16 games…part of a line that reduced its number of sacks allowed by 21 from 2006 to 2007, going from 43 in 2006 to just 22…the 21-sack decrease from 2006 to 2007 was the third-best improvement for any line in the NFL…only Cleveland and Oakland improved more…started on opening weekend for the first time in his short NFL career vs. Kansas City (9/9)…started vs. Tennessee (10/21) and made three miscellaneous tackles…started the 20th game of his career vs. Tampa Bay (12/9)…started at Indianapolis (12/23), serving as a team captain…missed a few plays after suffering a back injury.

2006 (Houston 12/7): Played in 12 games as a rookie and started the final seven contests at right tackle…played a key part in a rushing attack that improved dramatically over the second half of the season and produced more than 100 yards on the ground in five of the last seven games…made his professional debut as a reserve lineman at Dallas (10/15)…came on in relief of an injured Zach Wiegert at Jacksonville (11/12)…made first career start at RT vs. Buffalo (11/19) and helped the team rush for 188 yards, the third-best total in franchise history.
