2007 (Houston 0/0):  Went through training camp with the Arizona Cardinals but was released before the start of the regular season (8/31)…signed to the Texans practice squad in the middle of the season (10/24) and spent six weeks there before being signed to the 53-man active roster for the final four weeks of the season…suited up but did not play vs. Tampa Bay (12/9), Denver (12/13), at Indianapolis (12/23) and vs. Jacksonville (12/30).
 
2006 (Arizona 0/0): Signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers (2/17) and allocated to the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe…completed 100 of 185 passes for 1,139 yards and five touchdowns for Cologne…became NFL Europe's single-season record holder for rushing yards by a quarterback, totaling 339 yards and eclipsing previous record holder Jon Kitna by five yards…also set the single-game rushing record for a quarterback in NFL Europe, rushing for 98 yards on eight carries vs. Berlin…released by the Steelers (9/2)…signed to the Cardinals practice squad two days later (9/4) and spent the first 15 games of the season there…promoted to the 53-man roster (12/26) and was inactive as the third quarterback in the season finale at San Diego (12/31).
 
2005:  Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Tennessee Titans (4/29)…released by the Titans (8/29) and spent the rest of the year out of football.
 
COLLEGE:  Played in 36 games while starting 16 for Kentucky…also played receiver and running back during his Wildcat career…finished his career with 2,484 passing yards and 13 touchdowns…gained 845 rushing yards on 191 carries (4.2 avg) and 13 touchdowns…completed 138 passes for 1,328 yards in 2004 while rushing for 297 yards and five touchdowns…became the first player in Wildcat history to record a touchdown by rushing, passing and receiving in 2003…named to SEC Academic Honor Roll and was the second SEC player drafted in the 12th round of the MLB draft, again selected by the Minnesota Twins.

Attended Henry Clay (Lexington, Ky.) High School and was named Kentucky Player of the Year by USA Today, Louisville Courier-Journal All-State, Second Team by Associated Press, All-Southeast Region team by PrepStar and received Frank Camp and Roy Kidd Award for top player in Kentucky…four-year letterman in basketball and three-year letterman in baseball for the Blue Devils…was named the top baseball player in Kentucky by USA Today…drafted in the 13th round, as a senior, of the June 2000 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins…again drafted by the Twins in the 12th round out of the University of Kentucky…born Shane Anthony Boyd in Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
