High School was named the San Diego Union-Tribune's All-San Diego Western League Player of the Year in 2003...Added All-West Region honors from Prep Star and All-California Interscholastic Federation accolades, as he led the nation's prep ranks with 2,500 all-purpose yards, racking up 2,093 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns while adding six scores on kickoff returns as senior in 2003...Also lettered in track and basketball...Part of same high school graduating class as Matt Bush, who was first overall selection in 2004 MLB amateur draft by San Diego Padres...Moved to San Diego from Albuquerque after his sophomore year of high school.
