• Made five tackles (four solo) playing at free safety at Jacksonville (12/6).
• Returned to the starting lineup at free safety and made three tackles (two solo) and had one pass defensed to go along with one special teams tackle vs. Seattle (12/13)..
• Recorded four solo tackles and the first interception of his NFL career at St. Louis (12/20)..
• Started at free safety and made one solo tackle at Miami (12/27) before being placed on injured reserve before the season finale vs. New England (1/3) with a hamstring injury.

2008 (Houston 12/0):
• Played in 12 games…posted five total tackles with one sack…was a key contributor on special teams all season where he was third on the team with 10 tackles.
• Saw his first action on defense at safety when C.C. Brown broke his arm late in the game at Jacksonville (9/28) and recorded the first tackle of his career.
• Played at free safety and on special teams vs. Chicago (12/28) and recorded one sack when he tackled Bears QB Kyle Orton for a nine-yard loss in the third quarter.

COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 26 games as a Golden Gopher with 24 starts…totaled 191 tackles, including 130 solo stops during his career…collected 174 of his 191 career stops during the 2006 and 2007 seasons for an average of 87 total tackles per season as a junior and senior.
• Finished with four career interceptions and 13 pass break-ups…also had four fumble recoveries (returning one for a touchdown) and three forced fumbles.
• Lettered all four seasons at Minnesota...majored in communication studies.

PERSONAL:
• A 2004 graduate of Wayzata High School (Minn.)…named all-state and all-county his senior season at defensive back and was an all-conference and all-area selection his senior season at running back.
• Rushed for 911 yards on 138 carries with nine scores in 2002, while also recording 25 catches for 288 yards with three touchdowns.
• Also lettered twice in hockey and once in baseball…son of Marion and Karen Barber…father, Marion Jr., is a former NFL and All-Big Ten running back for the Gophers and brother, Marion III plays for the Dallas Cowboys.

    Safety Dominique Barber gives back to youth via the Barber Foundation, and for those efforts, he was named September's Texans Community Player of the Month, presented by Whataburger. Mario Williams nominated him for the honor.
