As a senior, earned second-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald and second-team Super-State honors from the Lincoln Journal Star, adding first-team Class B honors from both papers
Led the basketball team with 12 points and eight rebounds per game and finished second in the state in the shot put with a throw of 60 10-1/4 in the state track and field championships
