• Lettered in basketball, weightlifting and track and field
• Tabbed first-team All-District 7-4A after averaging 22 points and 7.8 rebounds per game on the hardwood
• Won the 105-kilogram class and had the second-best overall lift of 211 kg at the Louisiana State High School Olympic Weightlifting Championship
• Class 4A runner-up in the javelin with a toss of 182-7
• Named the Baton Rouge Advocate’s Athlete of the Year for his overall athletic achievements
