Houston Community College and the Houston Texans have teamed up to provide scholarships to Houston area veterans. Houston Texans Pro Bowl Center Chris Myers serves as the spokesman for the new Scholarships for Service program which will award up to fifty HCC scholarships to local veterans. HCC’s programs for veterans help them start a new chapter with education and skills training. Together let’s help our veterans “Go Get It”!
Every time the Texans score more than 14 points in a game, an Opportunity 14 Scholarship will be awarded and every time the Texans hold an opponent under 14 points an Opportunity 14 Scholarship will be awarded as well, meaning that every Texans regular season and post season game can result in a chance for two scholarships to be awarded to a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston.
If you would like to make a donation to the program to help the men and women that have served please click HERE for more information.
