The 2026 World Cup is coming to North America and Houston could be one of its host cities.
On Wednesday, the North American bid, a joint bid between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, beat the Moroccan bid in a vote decided by the FIFA governing body.
Potential American host cities, which will be chosen at a later date, include Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, New York/New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay area, Seattle and Washington.
The United States hosted the World Cup once before, in 1994, with Brazil winning it all.
