Deshaun Watson helps feed COVID-19 first responders in his hometown

This week, Deshaun Watson showed his appreciation for first responders in his hometown of Gainesville, Georgia, by providing free meals to those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Texans star quarterback teamed up with the Georgia-based Longstreet Café to feed over 150 first responders including the emergency room staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, as well as Gainesville police and fire departments. Watson paid for the meals, while the restaurant prepared and delivered the food. The lunches will keep coming through Friday of this week, according to Longstreet Cafe owner Tim Bunch.

All over the country, first responders and medical staff who have been working around the clock to treat COVID-19 patients while most of restaurants and businesses were forced to close.
