Get to know Tavierre:

  • Thomas played three seasons for the Cleveland Browns (2018-20), appearing in 45 games with three starts and two postseason contests. He recorded 21 tackles (20 solo), two tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one quarterback hit and one fumble recovery.
  • In 2019, Thomas returned 10 kickoffs for 204 yards. He also blocked a 49ers field goal on Monday Night Football.
  • Thomas attended Division II Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan on an academic scholarship after posting a 3.8 GPA at Detroit Allen High School.
  • He played four seasons (2014-17) at Ferris State and helped lead the Bulldogs to four consecutive playoff appearances. After walking on the team as a freshman, Thomas appeared in five games with one interception in 2014.
  • During his 2017 senior season, Thomas was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) defensive back of the year after notching four interceptions and a team-high 18 pass breakups.
  • Without an NFL Combine invite, Thomas participated in Michigan's Pro Day and ran a 4.38 40-yard dash.
  • In 2020, Thomas saw action in all 16 games for the Browns, setting a career-high 20 total tackles (19 solo), 1.0 sack, two tackles for loss, one Quarterback hit, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Thomas finished second with 11 special teams tackles for Cleveland.
  • Thomas played against Texans Defensive Back Desmond King II in high school and is one-of-10 former Cleveland Browns currently on the roster.
