How's everyone doing? I've gotten a lot of positive e-mails from you guys after our recent win over the Jaguars, so I just want to say thanks for the support. The crowd played a huge role in the win, and we need that type of noise to make things uncomfortable for our opponent at home. So great job!
Before I get into our game at Tennessee later this week, I thought I'd touch upon some other subjects.
Someone asked me last Thursday what I thought about the Ravens firing offensive coordinator Jim Fassel, and to be honest, I was surprised. Mainly, I was shocked because Jim and Brian Billick were such good friends when I was there. Also, not too many offensive coordinators get fired midseason, but I guess it's becoming more common. It also happened in Arizona and Cleveland this year.
Anyways, when I was in Baltimore, I always thought coach Billick had his hand in the offense, so I don't know how much will change now. During Billick's tenure with the Ravens, coordinators have come and gone, quarterbacks have come and gone, and that offense has remained the same. There's only been one constant, and that's Brian Billick. So it kind of surprised me that Fassel was fired.
Switching themes completely, I figured I'd change up my blog a little today and give you guys a glimpse into my life by letting you in on some of the websites I frequent.
First of all, I obviously spend a lot of time on HoustonTexans.com. I am a member of the Texans Insider Club, so I like looking at all of the video and the blogs.
After that, I go to MySpace.com a lot. It's pretty much like a new form of e-mail for me, I'm not going to lie. A lot of my friends back home are on it, and that's what it ends up being for me--a good way to keep in touch.
I also go to Woot.com every day to see what kind of deal they've got. It's kind of like an online discount retailer with wholesale prices. They have a lot of electronics. The last thing I bought there was a wireless modem, so I can go surf the Internet all around my house.
I check my Yahoo fantasy football page a lot, too. It's just for fun. Half of my players are on the bench or on bye week. I don't really pay attention. I just use it to keep in touch with my high school friends back home. We like to talk a lot of smack. There are about 10 of us that stay really close and that's a good way to keep up with them.
It might surprise some people, but I don't go to ESPN.com or any of those other sports websites too much. I like to keep my mind clear of all that.
Anyways, stop by later this week and I'll give you some of my thoughts on the Titans. Also, keep sending the e-mails. I'll respond to as many questions as I can.
Thanks for stopping by and take care.
