Ticket Extravaganza

Single-game tickets went on sale at Reliant Stadium today. There were 100 lucky fans who registered at HoustonTexans.com for the chance to be the first in line today to buy tickets.

The general public can start buying tickets at 10 a.m. I wouldn't wait too long. I have some connections in the ticket office, obviously, and there won't be tickets much past this afternoon.

Mario Williams and Owen Daniels helped kick things off this morning. Mario drew the number of the lucky fan who got to be first in line and both players manned the ticket office for a few minutes.

Daniels' first customer was actually a Saints fan from Louisiana to get tickets to the Saints game. Owen gave him a hard time and let Mario know too. Despite the duo's best efforts, the fan still bought his tickets.

Clearly the Saints are going to be a hot ticket and let me be the first to implore season ticket holders NOT to sell their tickets to Saints fans for the much-anticipated matchup on Nov. 18.

Odds are tickets are going to be fetching a nice price for that game, but we need Reliant rocking with Texans fans, not Saints backers.

The clock is ticking for the rest of the 2007 schedule, get your tickets now or you may be on the couch watching from home. We'll keep you posted as the day develops.
