Watt, Watson put game-worn merchandise for auction| Daily Brew

The Houston Texans found a special way to give back after wins thanks to seven-year veteran safety and community activist, Michael Thomas.

Thomas, who serves as the NFLPA vice president, founded the Victory Mondays as a way for athletes to celebrate a win by auctioning off special memorabilia or experiences for a good cause.

This week, J.J. Watt is auctioning off the football from the Texans' first takeaway of 2020 as well as game-worn jersey from the Week 5 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars. A number of Texans players, including Deshaun Watson, Jacob Martin, Whitney Mercilus and Thomas, have put up their jersey's from Sunday's 30-14 win. Texans players chose to donate the proceeds to scholarships for HBCU students in conjunction with the non-profit, Dreambuilders Foundation.

Thomas signed with the Texans in April as a free agent was named a 2020 team captain. He currently owns an NFL-best 65 special teams tackles since 2015.
