Wilson "out for a while"

During his Monday afternoon press conference less than an hour ago, Texans coach Gary Kubiak announced that starting free safety Eugene Wilson will be "out for a while" after injuring two toes in the Monday night game.

"(He hurt) actually two toes, the big toe and another one, I think," Kubiak said. "I don't have all the particulars, but no, he definitely will not play this week, and we'll make a decision on him here in a couple of days."

Wilson has been one of the Texans' most improved players since recovering from an illegal blow to the knee delivered by Brett Favre in third week of the preseason. He's tied for the team lead with two interceptions in eight starts. Wilson was replaced by safety John Busing when he left in the fourth quarter of the Titans game, but Kubiak did not say whether Busing would start in Wilson's absence. Dominique Barber also could be an option at the position.

Look for more on this development later this afternoon in a recap of Kubiak's press conference from Drew Dougherty of Texans TV.
