Derek Beeman was named vice president of ticket sales and business insights for the Houston Texans in April 2020. He enters his 15th overall season with the team after having spent five years as the senior director of ticket sales and market analytics (2015-19), six as the director of ticket sales (2009-14) and three as a ticket sales manager (2006-08).
Beeman oversees all ticket sales efforts for the Texans and Lone Star Sports & Entertainment, including season tickets, club memberships, group tickets and individual game tickets. He's also responsible for overseeing the organization's business insights group, which is tasked with providing analytical support to all business units.
Before joining the Texans, Beeman spent four seasons with the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning (2002-05), where he started as a ticket sales representative (2002) before serving as a group sales specialist (2003), corporate sales manager (2004) and suite sales manager (2005). In 2004, the organization won their first and only Stanley Cup championship.
Beeman played soccer at the University at Albany (1998-2002) in upstate New York, where he earned a degree in business administration with concentrations in finance and marketing and a minor in economics. He also earned a master's degree in strategic communications and leadership from Seton Hall University in 2010 and completed the NFL/Stanford Executive Program for Managers in 2012.
Originally from St. Louis, Beeman now lives in Fulshear, Texas with his wife, Ashlee, and their two kids, Clara and Craig.
