Jeff Allen to face former teammates in Chiefs

Jeff Allen is a valuable part of the Texans offensive line.

"He's a very intelligent guy, that's something that I really like," head coach Bill O'Brien said. "He's very bright and he's tough. He understands how important communication is and obviously bringing that toughness to the practice field and to the game field every week."

Allen and the rest of the line helped clear the way for Lamar Miller in last Sunday's win over Chicago, as Miller finished with 106 yards on the ground. After spending the first four years of his career as a Chief, it'll be tough for his former head coach to see him on the opposite side of the field.

"Unfortunately, it's part of the game but I think the world of the guy," Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said Wednesday. "I think he's a heck of a football player and a great person and a good dad. He's the whole package."

Allen and the Texans face a defense that allowed the Chargers 155 yards rushing in Sunday's win over San Diego.
