O'Brien on Miller: "Braxton played his best game"

Posted Nov 22, 2016

According to Bill O'Brien, WR Braxton Miller played his best game of the season.

For the fourth time this season, Braxton Miller started.

Bill O'Brien said the rookie receiver turned in the finest performance of his young career.

“Yeah, I thought Braxton played his best game," O'Brien said the day after the loss to the Raiders.

Miller caught his first career touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Brock Osweiler in the second quarter, and it helped the Texans tie the game at 10-all. He caught four other passes for a total of 25 yards, and also ran for a yard out of a Wildcat formation.

In the third quarter, on 3rd-and-goal at the 7-yard line, he drew a pass interference penalty. A play later, Lamar Miller rumbled in for a 1-yard touchdown and the Texans took a 17-10 advantage.

"He did a lot of things that wouldn’t even show up on the stat sheet," O'Brien said. "Obviously, he had some catches and a touchdown catch where he ran a really nice route on that play. Blocked well in the running game. Did his job very well.”

Miller now has 14 catches for 87 yards in 2016. He's played in eight games.
