Two days after returning to the practice field, it's looking like Duane Brown will suit up on Sunday in Seattle.
The left tackle missed the first six games of 2017, but was back on Monday and Wednesday with his teammates, and head coach Bill O'Brien is optimistic about the Pro Bowler's chances of contributing against the Seahawks.
"I would say he would have a real good shot to play on Sunday," O'Brien said.
Brown spoke with the media on Monday, and was glad to be back in the fold with the Texans. He was also certain he'd be able to go this Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CT.
"Very ready," Brown said. "It's my tenth year doing it, so I'm very familiar with what I need to do in order to be out there and be productive and be efficient. I'm in shape, so just getting caught up to speed on the plays and the terminology and I'll be good."
There's also a good chance he'll block a familiar foe, as the Seahawks just signed former Colt pass rusher Dwight Freeney to the 53-man roster on Tuesday night.
"My expectation is that I see him playing on Sunday," Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said. "Yeah, he's ready to go. I hope that he can add to it."
This will be the first time since 2005 the Texans have played in Seattle.
