Will Fuller V could return soon

After missing three games with a ribs injury, Will Fuller V could suit up for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

On Wednesday, Fuller returned to practice for the first time but was limited. The second-year wide receiver injured his ribs in the second quarter of Houston's loss to the L.A. Rams on Nov. 12. His return to the starting lineup would be a huge boost, especially with fellow wide receivers Braxton Miller in the concussion protocol this week and Bruce Ellington suffering a season-ending hamstring injury.

"With Will, there's obviously not much to say there," quarterback Tom Savage said. "Obviously, he's a burner, you know? We can go and we can extend the field a little bit with him."

Fuller, who missed Weeks 1 through 3 after shoulder surgery, caught an astounding seven touchdown passes in his first four games of the season. He has recorded 17 catches for 326 yards and fielded eight punts, including a 49-yard return against Kansas City, through six starts this season.

The Texans return to NRG Stadium after back-to-back road games to host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Kickoff is set for noon on FOX and SportsRadio 610.
