A magnificent defensive performance carried the Texans to their third consecutive victory – a 23-19 win over Buffalo that keeps them rolling through a huge stretch of the season.

A franchise record-tying eight sacks highlighted an effort that also included two picks by Calen Bullock and two turnovers-on-downs.

The fact that the Bills, with reigning MVP Josh Allen, only scored three points after intermission shows you how dominant the Texans defense can be.

Davis Mills got his third consecutive start and threw two go-ahead TD passes in the first half. The Bills grabbed the early lead 9-3 but Mills and the Texans offense constructed a touchdown drive that gave Houston the edge.

After a kickoff return for a touchdown put the Bills back up, the Texans responded beautifully with another march down the field, retaking the lead with five seconds to go in the half.

The second half was filled with big stops by both teams, but it will be remembered for how the Texans got their sack attack revved up to maximum production.

The Bills hook-and-lateral play on their final drive might be the greatest play I've seen executed against the Texans in a clutch situation.

But this is the greatest Texans defense I've ever seen, and they came up with the big stop on 4th and 6 to end the game.

The building was buzzing with excitement in the pregame moments. And there was no doubt there was extra electricity on Battle Red night.

This was one of those games we'll never forget. And that's saying something, considering we left the building 11 days ago with an elated feeling after the come-from-behind win over Jacksonville.

Get ready, because the Texans have won six of their last eight and are heating up at the perfect time. The Colts are up next, but first Indianapolis faces Kansas City over the weekend.

A world of possibilities and opportunities is right in front of the Texans, and they're getting healthier and gearing up to take advantage.
