Meet Coach Joshua Mann | Coach of the Week

Week 5

School: Rouse High School

Years Coaching: 24

How long have you been coaching? Where did your career begin? College\university you attended?

  • This is my 24th season as High School Coach, 17 as Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator at Rouse High School. My career began at Wichita Falls High School in 2001. I attend Angelo State University where I was a 3-year letterman.

Why do you coach?

  • We saw an opportunity and passion by our girl athletes that wanted to have the program and represent their High School. Coach football is coaching football whether its flag, 7 on 7, 6 man or 11-man football.

What is the most rewarding\fulfilling part of your job?

  • Seeing the joy on our athletes faces when they accomplish a task or skill that they have been working so hard on. Also love seeing a group of athletes come together to fight through adversity to achieve a common goal on and off the field.

In your opinion, what is the significance of the growth of girl's flag football?

  • The support from our local youth and other professional organizations laying the groundwork and the NFL using its influence to bring it to a bigger stage.
